Jemima and I were at Rivers of Life Global Ministries in Jinja, Uganda, co-leading a day of worship with the local team. When we began to lead our slot of time the rain began to fall so heavily that we couldn’t hear the piano anymore. Jemima got up from behind the piano and we began leading worship a capella, moving throughout the room so that everyone could follow. From there we followed the flow of Holy Spirit into dances and thanks for His healing, His outpouring, His joy… It was a gift to worship the Lord with so many laid down worshippers near the source of the Nile, where many come to “draw” power for witchcraft.
The worship day was on Friday, and the following Sunday Jemima and I ministered during their church service. After the service, a man came up to me and shared how his back pain had completely left during worship on Friday, and he was still, as far as he could tell, completely healed. No one prayed for his back to be healed, we were all simply in worship, and God, Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, was simply Himself.
